The boys' each got new convertible carseats just before their birthday. It was a sad day for me to give up their carriers. However, they are still rear facing, as the seats safely accomodate rear-facing children up to 35lbs, or until their heads' exceed the height of the seat. Friends and family have been curious about them still being rear facing. I turned Taylor around at 1 year, and I was so excited to finally get to! But, back then, I didn't know what I know now. Here's why they're staying rear facing until 35lbs {at which point the seat may no longer be able to withstand the brunt of a crash for the baby}.
